Description: Formerly: Art History and Appreciation 1 - Prehistoric to Renaissance. Formerly: History and Appreciations of Art. This course provides an overview of art and architecture from prehistory through the Middle Ages. The basic principles and history of art will be studied primarily through painting, sculpture, and architecture. The influence of social, cultural, political, religious, and historical contexts on art and architecture will also be discussed. C-ID: ARTH 110.
