    Description
    This is an introductory art appreciation course for students who are not majoring in Studio Art or Art History. It will provide a general introduction to art that offers a look at works of art through the study of theory, terminology, themes, design principles, media, and techniques, with an introduction to the visual arts across time and diverse cultures. It emphasizes both Western and global art in historical and cultural contexts and explores drawing, painting, sculpture, film/video, printmaking, photography, ceramics, and architecture. Students are required to visit a local art museum. C-ID: ARTH 100.
