    POLS 115 examines critical questions and debates in race, ethnicity, and politics. Students investigate the political history of racial and ethnic minorities in the U.S. and examine the interaction of minority politics within the broader American political system. Discussions will include how modernracialhierarchiesandpoliticalrhetoriconracecontinuetoinfluencenationaland local policies on civil rights, justice, education, immigration, and poverty.
