Students review bass and treble clefs,notesandnotevalues,metersignatures and key signatures; identify notes of a piano keyboard;anddevelopabasicunderstanding ofmelody,harmony,andrhythm.Inaddition, students learn basic piano technique and begin the study of harmony in the context of the piano keyboard, and these concepts are used in the analysis and performance of musical exercises and literature.
