    Description
    MUSIC 101 is an introductory course designed to provide students with a basic knowledge of the fundamentals of tonal music and music notation. It incorporates the concepts of pitch, rhythm and meter, intervals, diatonic scales, Major and minor keys, triads and inversions, and beginning harmonic analysis. Students learn to notate theseelementsinbassandtrebleclefs,andto relate these elements to the piano keyboard. Developmentofskillinhandwrittennotation is expected.
