    Description
    KIN 158 provides instruction and practical application of personal and group fitness training techniques for special populations including; older adults, persons with disabilities, persons with musculoskeletal disorders,andpersonswithchronicdiseases. Evidence-based protocols, adaptations of activities, contraindications, and effective fitness programming will be emphasized. Psychosocial issues related to aging, disease and disability will also be addressed, as well as effective methods for communication, demonstration, and creating an accessible environment. This course is recommended forstudentsinterestedinpursuingcareersin physicaleducation,kinesiology,fitnesstraining, physical therapy, occupational therapy orgerontology.
