    KIN 151 introduces the student to the fundamental scientific concepts applicable to exercise and physical fitness. Areas of study include: functional anatomy, kinesiology, biomechanics and exercise physiology, and the course addresses acute and chronic effects of exercise with practical applications tofitnessprogrammingandinstruction.This course also prepares students for the scientific content requirements that are common to the certified personal trainer (CPT) and group fitness instructor (GFI) exams offered by several national certification agencies.
