    GEOG 170 introduces students to the interdisciplinaryfieldofGlobalStudies,including thehistoryofglobalization.Economic,political, social, cultural, and ecological developments related to the process of globalization will also be explored. Students evaluate topics such as NGOs (non-governmental organizations), the global economy, and transnational population trends.
