    ESL 111 focuses on grammar and composition for students at the beginning level of academic Englishas asecondlanguage.This course provides instruction in vocabulary, basicgrammar,sentencestructure,andwriting. Students write one-paragraph compositions of 100-150 words in length. The course stresses the correct use of a variety of grammatical structures and verb tenses within compositions.
