- EMT 138 introduces foundational concepts related to the emergency medical care of sick and injured persons. This course is designed forstudents interested inpursuing emergency medical services (EMS) or other healthcare occupations. Students learn the framework of EMS, as well as the unique challenges of ethical dilemmas and stress management in the emergency setting.
