    ART119isasurveyofcontemporaryartfrom 1970 until the present. Students will explore theoriginsandfulldevelopmentofpostmodern and subsequent aesthetic philosophies in the United States and Europe. The course emphasizestheemergenceofnon-traditional media, as well as painting and sculpture, withinthesocialandpoliticalcharacteristics of the contemporary world.
