    ACCTG 101 introduces students to accounting and financial concepts and terminology from the perspective of an accounting employee. The course covers financial accountingandtopicsincludingtheaccounting cycle, revenue and expense recognition, internal control, external reporting requirements,cashflow,financialstatementanalysis, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), and asset, liability, and stockholder's equity valuation. Students will explore and write about ethical issues and open-ended exercises requiring critical judgment.
