Through review of theory and practice, you will have the opportunity to examine your personal values, cultural identity, personality, temperament, motivation and define your own leadership actions and aspirations. You will learn about California Community Colleges’ decision-making process, effective communication styles, ethics, learning agility, and power. Finally, using the five leadership practices and ten commitments defined by James Kouzes and Barry Posner and reviewing Robert’s Rules of Order, you will be able to identify concrete actions you can take to become an exemplary leader and run effective meetings.
