This course focuses on academic and critical thinking skills needed to increase reading comprehension and efficiency. Emphasis is on analyzing, making inferences, taking notes, supporting opinions, summarizing and expanding vocabulary. Readings are from academic texts and literature. This course also refines and further expands college composition skills through the writing of essays.
