    Description
    Introduction to the aesthetic and technical aspects of single camera digital video recording, non-linear editing, visual effect generation and production of video (and associated audio) using DSLR's and smart phones plus software such as Boords, FilmIC, iMovie, Premier, Final Cut Pro, Motion and After Effects and an introduction to Camtasia. Also considered will be preparation of the video for distribution through on-line channels such as mobile devices and the Internet (e.g. YouTube). Students will develop a full video project, including idea development, story boarding, script development, video shooting, editing, and voice over recording in preparation for their final project. This course has the option of a letter grade or pass/no pass. ADVISORY: CSIS 1 or CSIS 2/2L or equivalent computer experience.
