No previous programming background is assumed. The course introduces students to the fundamental concepts of computer programming using Python. Students will learn the procedural and object- oriented programming design methodology. Topics covered include: output, input, variables, selection, repetition, functions, recursion, lists, strings, file manipulation, internet scripting, regular expressions, data mining and GUI.
