Topics include nomenclature, stereochemistry, mechanism, reactions, and spectroscopic studies of the various organic functional groups. Lecture and laboratory methods will focus on synthesis, isolation, purification, elucidation and identification of organic structures as well as instrumental methods and data interpretation.
