    Description
    This is the second course in a two-semester sequence intended for life science majors with a strong emphasis on exploring the basic biology and diversity of unicellular and multicellular organisms. Topics include: general biological principles; ecology, classification, structure, function, and evolutionary adaptations of organisms (including plants, fungi, animals, and unicellular organisms) to their environments. (C-ID: BIOL 140) PREREQUISITE: BIO 1 with a grade of 'C' or better, and MATH 240 or Intermediate Algebra or equivalent with a grade of 'C' or better. High school-level reading and writing skills are strongly recommended.
