This course will examine the creative process, visual literacy, the development of creative and imaginative performance and theories pertaining to insight, inspiration, intuition, originality and genius. This class draws on materials from a variety of sources including, biographies, intellectual histories, psychological studies, and educational research. Studies will include ideas and beliefs about creativity from a diverse range of disciplines and cultures. Students will be encouraged to explore and express their own creativity.
