This course features an in-depth study of Intermediate Musical Theatre Techniques with emphasis on the applications of the Pop/Rock genre of musical theatre performance. Individual exercises in acting, movement and voice as related to pop/rock in the 50’s, 60’s, 70’s, 80’s, Contemporary Pop/Rock, Country, Bluegrass, and Hip Hop genres are explored. An audition or interview will be conducted for the purposes of assigning performance roles. Field trips may be required outside of regularly-scheduled class time.
