    54 hours lecture per term. This course provides students with an overview of the legal relationship between employer and employee and a basic understanding of this area of law's impact on the employer/employee relationship. The student will study both federal and state laws applicable to the employer/employee relationship. Areas covered include the basis for the employer/employee relationship, pre-employment concerns, legal aspects of the employment relationship, discrimination issues, discrimination actions, termination of the employer/employee relationship, the collective bargaining process, employee unions, and ethical issues.
