Procedural topics include the initial client interview; types of marital status relief; preparing pleadings; jurisdictional requirements; filing various family law actions; preparing for preliminary hearings, trials, and default proceedings; post judgment remedies and enforcement of court orders and judgments and modification of orders. Substantive topics include child custody and parenting arrangements; marital property rights and obligations; domestic violence; child and spousal support; premarital agreements and attorney’s fees.
