This advanced-level course in the keyboard musicianship sequence is designed to help music majors prepare for a university keyboard proficiency exam, but it is also open to anyone interested in enhancing their piano skills. The course provides rigorous, semi-individualized instruction in keyboard harmony with secondary dominant chords, three-voice choral score reading, specialized rhythm exercises, intermediate to early advanced standard repertoire, and memorization. Additionally, it emphasizes building self-critiquing skills. Field trips may be required outside of regularly-scheduled class times. Letter Grade or Pass/No Pass option.
