- Concurrent 54 hours lecture per term. This advanced music theory class provides an intensive study of harmonic material as used in popular music and jazz. This course includes the study of chord progressions, substitutions, harmonic alterations and musical form. Special attention is paid to great American composers such as Duke Ellington and Cole Porter. (Degree Credit) (CSU) (UC)
