Transfers ToCSUDescription54 hours lecture and 18 hours lab per term. This course focuses on media article writing and digital storytelling. Students will develop multimedia news reporting and writing techniques with an emphasis on the Web. Students research, write, and edit articles as they practice the skills of gathering information from a variety of sources. Students synthesize, edit and prepare stories for dissemination online. Students will learn the basics of visual journalism storytelling, including basic elements of shooting video, recording audio, editing video and audio, and creating news websites. A culminating project will demonstrate knowledge of reporting and writing for print and broadcast on the web. (Degree Credit) (CSU) (C-ID: JOUR 120)
