    36 hours lecture and 54 hours lab per term. This course explores the design principles and elements to contemporary fashion. The lectures cover design problems encountered in the ready-to-wear and couture garment industries. Classwork will require garment sketching. Current fashion trends, sourcing and resources for design ideas will be explored. (Degree Credit) (CSU)
