    54 hours lecture per term. This course surveys the evolution of western and non-western clothing styles as a reflection of culture throughout history from Egyptian to Contemporary periods. Emphasis is placed on the relation of recurring styles to contemporary fashion; and the effect of socio-psychological, economic and political/religious influences on dress in historical perspective.
