    Description
    54 hours lecture and 54 hours lab per term. This course covers the Earth's origin, geological development through time and history of its life are presented using the plate tectonic theory. The importance of environment to evolution and extinction of life forms are stressed. Study and classification of major rock and fossil groups, interpretation of geologic and topographic maps, and application of rock and fossil interpretations to geologic problems are included.
