    Description
    54 hours lecture per term. This course is an introduction to texts by writers who identify as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, and/or other sexual and gender expressions. The course analyzes major themes, such as definition, identity, community, love/sex/relationships, health, resistance, performativity, and intersectionality in LGBTQIA+ literature. The course will also introduce basic concepts of Queer Theory. Field trips may be required outside of regularly-scheduled class times. (Degree Credit) (CSU) AA GE, CSU GE, IGETC
