The course focuses on the four major skills of language learning — listening comprehension, speaking, reading and writing — and the grammar and vocabulary necessary to acquire these skills. Included is an introduction to customs, culture, and civilization of Chinese-speaking countries. This course is conducted primarily in Chinese and requires completion of weekly lab assignments.
