This course focuses on child development and educational theory and philosophy; effective administrative; supervisory and leadership skills; quality early childhood education programming; planning, organizing, staffing and evaluating child care centers; effective communication; and advocacy. This course is required for the Early Childhood Education Administration Certificate, meets the State Department of Social Services (Title 22) licensing regulations for administrators, and together with CDES 230 F , fulfills the requirement for both Site Supervisor and Program Director, State Department of Education (Title 5).
