    Description
    72 hours lecture and 18 hours lab per term. This course is an advanced-beginning American Sign Language (ASL) class. It includes receptive and expressive conversational skills without voice, grammatical structures of ASL, and development of appropriate linguistic/cultural behaviors. Students will explore historical, literary and artistic influences that have contributed to Deaf culture and mainstream society. Required attendance at a Deaf cultural event outside of class time.
