Transfers ToCSUDescription36 hours lecture and 72 hours lab per term. The lecture portion of this course covers problems of creating finished illustrations from thumbnail sketches to final art. Emphasis in this course is on illustration for printed media such as books, newspapers, and magazines, as well as conceptual design for industrial products, and illustration for the electronic entertainment, theme park, and motion picture industries. Projects are designed to prepare the student for the professional skills necessary in creating an industry appropriate portfolio of work. (Degree Credit) (CSU)
