Transfers ToCSUDescription36 hours lecture and 72 hours lab per term. The main objective of this class is creating the illusion of three dimensions on a two-dimensional drawing surface. The lectures cover the basics of the visual perception of space, and the artistic techniques based on it. Rendering topics include explanations of the surface qualities of various materials, and the accurate depiction of the materials' interaction with light. Basics of perspective drawing will also be covered in this course. This course also meets student needs in advertising, illustration, and industrial design.
