Issues to be covered will include but not be limited to identity development and coming out, cultural ideology, sub-cultures, activism, marriage, parenting, and community. Theoretical perspectives concerning the historical development of sexual identity and the marginalization of sexual minority communities within social institutions in contemporary U.S. society and around the world will be explored.
