    This course emphasizes the sociological analysis of marriage and the family, including historical and contemporary changes, and the socio-cultural and economic forces shaping these changes. Topics may include but are not limited to: love, courtship, mate selection, sexuality, family planning, pregnancy and childbirth, sexually transmitted diseases, family conflict, conflict resolution, communication skills, divorced families, step-families, aging and widowhood.
