    Description
    In this course, students build upon the foundational concepts learned in Music Theory I, with continued study of diatonic harmony and an introduction to part-writing, secondary functions, and modulation. Students will also study and practice first species counterpoint to develop a deeper understanding of melodic construction and voice independence. This course prepares students for progression into MUS 2A: Music Theory III. Concurrent enrollment in MUS 7B is required. (A, CSU, UC)
