Transfers ToCSUDescriptionThis course is an interdisciplinary, relational, and comparative study of women of color in the United States. Centers the voices, activism, and scholarship of Native American, African American, Asian American, Latinx, and other women of color to highlight the critical role and contributions of women of color in the production of knowledge and shaping transformative social and political change. Students will engage with academic texts, literary fiction, and various media, including film, music, art, and podcasts, to analyze the cultural and political significance of the term "women of color" and its relevance to contemporary struggles for equity and liberation.
