    Description
    In this course, students receive instruction in academic reading and writing, including writing processes, effective use of language, analytical thinking, and the foundations of academic research. This is an honors course. Major components of this course include critical reading of diverse voices and writing strategies. Honors sections may include more extensive research with a focus on academic journals, as well as critical thinking that includes in-depth analysis and synthesis of ideas. (A, CSU, UC, Cal-GETC)
