    This course explores literature through thematic, authorial, and genre-based lenses, using close reading, contextual analysis, and critical interpretation to foster a deeper appreciation of diverse cultural, historical, and aesthetic perspectives. Topics vary by instructor and may include Coming of Age in Contemporary America; The Evolution of the Literary Detective Poetic Rebellion: Emily Dickinson, Amanda Gorman, and the Power of Language; Global Voices: The Legacy of Carlos Fuentes and Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie; or The Novel and Media in Society.(A, CSU, UC, Cal-GETC)
