    This course emphasizes the history and inter-relationships of dental specialties within the broad scope of dentistry. Covered are the current concepts that are correlated with the surgical and non-surgical therapy strategies and future possibilities relevant to the practice of dental specialties. Highlighted are the interprofessional, ethical, and clinical responsibilities of dental hygienists' in the treatment of periodontal disorders. (CSU)
