    Description
    Students gain a comprehensive knowledge of concrete materials and testing methods used in creating varied mixes that are common in residential and commercial building construction. Students construct various concrete forms commencing with blueprint interpretation through completion of form fabrication and placement. Applications include residential foundations, decorative flat work and structural wall fabrication. Form materials and hardware will be introduced, studied and installed during form fabrication. Building codes, quality control and sustainability are studied and incorporated within the projects. Concrete work site safety and related OSHA regulations are introduced, studied and applied in labs. (A, CSU)
