    Corequisite: CONS 20. (Formerly CONS 50) (A, CSU) ~This course introduces students to the foundational principles, tools, and practices used in residential and light commercial construction. Students learn essential skills including construction safety, blueprint interpretation, measurement, hand and power tool operation, and basic building methods. Through hands-on activities and practical demonstrations, students gain a solid understanding of materials, structural components, and standard construction processes. The course prepares students for entry-level roles in the construction field and provides a strong base for advanced trade-specific coursework. (Starts Spring 2027)
