An emphasis will be placed on the observational evidence used by cosmologists to help develop their theories. A study of the types of stars, including the sun, binary stars, variable stars, white dwarfs, neutron stars is included. Types of galaxies and their distribution in the universe, dark matter, dark energy, supernovae, and black holes will be examined. There may be optional field trips.
