    Prerequisite: AJ 270B AND a California Peace Officer Standards and Training Basic Course certificate issued from an accredited regional police academy or equivalent as determined by the division Dean or their appointee. These skills and knowledge base are related to adopted POST or industry standards. NOTE: Approval of equivalent training is not a guarantee that state regulatory or licensing agencies will also grant equivalency.

    Description
    This course is designed to develop student skills in recognizing, interpreting and administering the Standardized Field Sobriety Tests. It provides instruction in report writing and testifying in court for cases involving driving under the influence.
