    AJ 270A AND student must pass a physical exam stating student is capable of performing required skills necessary to complete arrest & control, firearms and driving requirements for this course. A POST Regular Basic Academy Certificate or equivalent or, for out-of-state, a letter of recommendation from POST. Student must complete a criminal history requirement by submitting a completed LiveScan request through the California Department of Justice or submit an agency sponsorship letter stating they have completed a LiveScan process with their respective agency

    Description
    This course will update the students on the required material to bring the students into compliance by updating them on those sections of the Regular Basic Course thereby bringing them into compliance with the standards required by POST. This course is available to individuals who have successfully completed a POST-certified Regular or Specialized Investigators' Basic Course, the Basic Course Waiver (BCW) process, or have a three-year or longer break in qualifying employment from a California law enforcement employer for which the position required completion of Regular Basic Course (RBC) or Specialized Investigators' Basic Course (SIBC) training. Students seeking the Basic Course Waiver Assessment (BCW) Process must complete an evaluation approved by POST. The requalification course must be completed to meet the assessment requirements of the BCW process unless an individual qualifies for the testing process. Materials fee will be charged.
