Transfers ToCSUDescriptionThis non-performance course introduces students to the history and contemporary importance of diversity in the American Theatre. This class will explore the artistic contributions and experiences of diverse groups, including Asian/Pacific Americans, Black/African Americans, Latin Americans, Native Americans, and multi-ethnic groups. The course will also cover the socio-political events and contexts that influenced these theatrical practitioners, works, and movements. Class will be taught through lectures, readings, viewing of recorded and/or live theatrical productions, writing, and discussions.
