It examines these problems through sociological and ideological perspectives and evaluates how these perspectives influence both definitions of problems as well as proposed solutions. Topics include: racism, economic inequality, sexism and heterosexism, as well as problems arising in the areas of education, marriage and family, crime, health and healthcare, and the environment.
