- Independent study designed to provide instrumental training not offered in other music classes. Components of the course may include private or group instruction, solo and ensemble work, accompanying experience, and programmed learning in music fundamentals and music technology. Also for students interested in developing tutorial and/or instrumental skills. Each component may be repeated for a total of 3 units, up to a maximum of 9 units. Music 411
