Course topics explore, more in depth, the musical styles in which the guitar is heard such as folk, rock, blues, funk, jazz, and classical. Through in-class demonstrations and hands-on laboratory experience, students will improve their practice techniques, augment their technical proficiency, and begin to acquire the skills necessary to perform both in solo and ensemble settings. Performance in class and/or recital is essential.
